Juana Ines de Asbaje y Ramirez de Santillana, better known as Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz (San Miguel Nepantla, November 12, 1651, Mexico City, April 17, 1695), was a religious writer in New Spain Baroque Golden Age poetry cultivated, the sacramental and theater and prose. Because of the importance of his work, he received the nickname of "the phoenix of America", "The Tenth Muse" and "The Tenth Muse Mexican."
